"I'm not Mother Nature, but I know her well and love her dearly."

Jana Suchy is a Czech name, pronounced Yana Suki.

So Czech this out:

Jana pioneered her unique brand of environmental-message packaging back when environmental information still mostly meant black-&-white fact sheets. With a strong education in natural resources wedded to her natural-born creativeness, keen instincts, honed communication skills, and a flair for the unordinary, Jana seized the void to build a bridge between environmental science and public understanding. She broke ground by focusing on an appealing presentation as cornerstone to success—translating the material into plain English for regular folks, and dressing it up to make it pretty.

Who doesn't like pretty?

Thus transformed, even technical or complex environmental concepts become compelling, colorful, user-friendly images and ideas that invite, engage, and entice—that show as well as tell. You could almost call it Environmental Entertainment; it makes the message accessible to so many more. Hey, it works! New things always take some time to catch on.

Hallelujah, that time has come at last.

Jana's courage of conviction comes from two decades of professional experience—producing videos and award-winning radio spots, stunning photographs and slide shows, brochures, displays and exhibits, posters, magazine articles, newsletters, tabloid-sized newspaper inserts, kids' mascots, a street banner, board game, & more.

Whatever it takes, to get the word out—with pizazz.

Exploring this technique in her earlier work as Lakes Information and Education Specialist for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Jana created an innovative statewide Get-in-Tune-to-Your-Lake campaign. Later crisscrossing the country with her multi-media lakes show under auspices of the Environmental Protection Agency, she taught photo seminars and "Get-the-word-out-with-pizazz" training workshops for folks from all levels of government. Jana produced & co-wrote the book—a series of booklets comprising the Watershed Media ToolKit + How-To Handbook—to guide participants in packaging more dynamic, more effective environmental messages for their own audiences.

Over the years Jana's curiosity lured her from forests to desert and mountains to ocean, throwing the spotlight on different facets of our natural world. Doing business as Nature's Voice, formerly as EcoJazz! Consulting and Fresh from Alaska, Jana wraps herself around each new topic and draws from a pool of talent, expert in their fields—watercolorists, oil painters, illustrators, cartoonists, carpenters, recording engineers, videographers, photographers, musicians, singers, printers, graphic designers—whatever we need, to shape ideas and vision into quality products.

Speaking for Mother Nature because, clearly, somebody has to.
